$30 minimum explained
If the quantity of slides you wish to transfer results in a total cost of less than $30, you'll be charged the minimum amount of $30. This minimum fee helps cover the operational costs involved in handling and digitizing your memories with care and precision.
Digital storage details
Digital files with orders under 400 slides will be returned on a DVD data disc. Please note that this isn't for movie playback; it simply stores the digital files for you to transfer to your computer. If your computer lacks a disc drive or you prefer, upgrade to a USB flash drive for $10.

How We Scan Slides to Digital
Once you've made the decision to upgrade your old photo slides to digital, we've got your back here at Nostalgic Media with over 30 years of experience. Cleaning & Sorting
Our technicians take the necessary steps to prepare your slides before scanning to ensure excellent image quality. Compressed air is used to remove surface dust and debris. If you have a specific order in which you would like your slides scanned, you can organize them into numbered groups beforehand. Unfortunately, we cannot organize your slides for you, so please ensure that they are properly arranged beforehand if needed.
*Note: We cannot guarantee the order of individual slides, as many variables would prevent us from doing this, such as slide damage or special formats that must be scanned separately. Please call us for more information on organizing your slides.High-Resolution Scans
Our custom-built slide film scanners provide high-resolution, 3,200 dpi JPEG files for all your scanned images. The 3,200 dpi resolution is ideal for displaying digital images on screens or projectors, and it also allows you to produce remarkable prints. Our scanning process captures every detail of your slides while digitizing them with the highest level of care and precision. You can count on our expertise in scanning and image processing to consistently deliver outstanding results.
Quality Inspection
After your images have been scanned, they are color-corrected. Once your slides have been color-corrected, they undergo a custom inspection process to ensure that each image meets our quality standards. A dedicated technician will inspect each slide, meticulously rotating, cropping, and aligning the images with precision.
Secure Storage
We understand how important your slides are to you and we value their security as much as you do. All scanning takes place in-house at our secure Atlanta, GA facility. We don't send your slides away to a third-party.
Along with their digitized copies, all original slides will be returned to you in a safe and secure manner. Loose slides will be returned to you in archival, acid-free storage boxes, which will prevent any damage or degradation of the slides due to environmental factors. Similarly, slides in standard Kodak carousels will be kept intact and securely returned to you.

Understanding Our Slide Conversion Service

Yes. All slides sent to us for scanning will be returned to you with your completed order. Slides in Kodak carousels will be returned intact, while loose slides and slides in trays, boxes, etc. will be returned in our archival, acid-free storage boxes.

Absolutely! We offer the option to order extra copies in various formats, such as USB drives or DVDs, for convenient sharing with loved ones.

Although there is no minimum number of slides you must send, we do have a minimum charge of $30 for all slide scanning services. So, if the quantity of slides to scan results in a cost of less than $30, the $30 minimum applies.

We cannot guarantee the exact order of individual slides during scanning. You can organize your slides into numbered groups to help, but certain factors like damaged slides and different film formats might affect the sequence. For more information on organizing your slides, please contact us.

Additional $0.20 per slide handling charge applies to slides in plastic organizational sleeves or metal frame holders. You can remove slides from these accessories before delivery to avoid this fee.

You can ship your slides to us or drop them off at our facility in Atlanta, GA. Even for smaller slide orders, we highly recommend using a sturdy box if shipping an order to us. Bubble wrap and newspaper are great ways to fill space and protect your slides from damage during transit. If your slides are in carousels, magazines or trays, simply send them as they are. We will take care of the rest. Loose slides can be put into zip-lock bags for extra protection.
