There are three ways to place an order with us.
First, you may use our easy online ordering system by clicking here. Enter your quantities, and click "Add To Cart." Then complete our online checkout to place your order. You will receive a confirmation email that details your purchase, and includes directions on how to pack and ship your items to us.
Second, if you are in the Atlanta area, you can bring your material to our shop. We will discuss with you, face to face, the in's and out's of your materials and provide you with an estimate. We can also ship your order once it is complete if you would like to avoid a return trip. Be sure to view our Map and Directions.
Third, you may fill out our printable order form and address label. Fill out the form with your information, and a rough estimate of your materials, sign the form, and include it inside the package you ship to us. We will contact you when we receive your package to confirm your order. Click Here to download the form.
Normal in-lab turnaround is 5 to 7 working days, a bit longer during the holidays. Allow extra time for shipping.
Yes. Everything will be returned with your completed order. Movie film will be returned cleaned and spliced onto 400 ft. reels. Video Tapes will be returned bundled in plastic zipper bags with the DVD created from each tape. Slides will be returned in your original carousels, if provided; or in white, acid-free archival boxes if the slides are loose.
Orders over $200 include free return shipping only. Otherwise, return shipping costs $14.
Please note: you are responsible for the cost of shipping your materials to us. We recommend using UPS or USPS when shipping your media to us.
We can accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover through our online checkout, as well as via telephone. When you checkout, we also give you the option to have us contact you for payment. If you have any questions about our ordering process, or if you have any difficulty, please give us a call; we will be happy to work with you.
We cannot guarantee the order of your images, but in most cases if your slides or photos are of the same size and film format we should be able to maintain the sequence. Wrap each stack with a rubber band, and number each stack and we'll try to follow your sequence.
Yes. We save your images as JPEG files, the most universal format. Just take your disc or USB drive to your local photo lab for prints. You can also email your image files anywhere. Online services such as Snapfish and Shutterfly can produce photos, albums and calendars from your images. Nostalgic Media does not create prints from your scans.
No. Since each scanning and transfer service is highly specialized, we cannot mix different media onto one disc. If you send us three types of media, you’ll receive three discs. However, we do copy all digital files (including photos, slides, and MP4 files) to your USB flash drive, or external hard drive if you have purchased or provided one.
We create our DVD's according to industry standards for Video and Data DVD's. Our DVD’s will play on nearly any stand-alone DVD player. If your DVD player was manufactured after 2001 and reads DVD-R media (the most common type), it’s likely to play the DVD. Some Blu-Ray players will not play any type of recordable media, please consult your player's owner's manual to determine compatibility with DVD-R type media.
We use special, archival-grade DVD’s with a manufacturer's projected life of over 100 years.
No. If you do not own the copyright of material submitted, it is illegal to make copies. Any copyrighted material included in your transfer order will not be processed. Videotapes of TV programs are considered copyright material and cannot be transferred. Any photos or slides with explicit copyright information on them will not be scanned. Media containing obscene or illegal material will not be converted. No refunds are given for copyrighted, obscene, or illegal material sent as part of a purchased transfer package.
